  We had a great stay and really loved the location of this house. It was perfect for small kids and multiple families. We loved that the house was steps away from the beach which allowed us to back anytime for lunches and naps without having to pack up a car or golf cart. The property is very secluded with only one house in view and we had our beach to ourselves the whole week. The beach was beautiful and we found so many sandbars to sit our chairs in the water and float around.
  
  The house was beautiful but had some wear and tear. We had issues with certain things working. Half the house didn't have hot water even after maintenance came, so we had to share showers. We couldn't get the gas fireplace to work, and certain rooms would get really warm even though we had air on.
  
  The house could have been cleaned better. When we arrived, ledges were dusty and had dead bugs, fingerprints were on the windows, a hair clip was left in one shower, couch cover had stains, bottom of garbage can was gross, etc. The house could benefit from a good deep clean and I know it's mid season, but for the price and the fees we paid, it should have been spotless.
  
  Overall we really had a great stay and I would recommend this property because of its location, its beach, and its views.

  As the title of this review implies, this house and location has been the perfect retreat for our family for the past three summers. The private beach and large backyard is perfect for grandchildren learning how to swim and fly kites. The owner has not slacked off with the level of quality and upkeep. Everything from the appliances, furniture, grill, entertainment system, landscaping, etc. has been maintained to a first-class level. We had perfect weather and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and sunsets.

  My wife and I reserved "Beauty on the Beach" almost immediately after our first visit in the summer of 2022. The house is very well maintained, the interior details and landscaping are tasteful, elegant and immaculate. There was even a major upgrade to the already fantastic entertainment system. Although our Granddaughters are only 3 to 4 years old, they remembered and really enjoyed returning to the "a-cationhouse". The beach is perfect for learning swimmers, kayaks and canoes. finding hermit crabs enjoying the scenery including the occasional sight of Bald eagles and fish jumping out of the water. The sunsets are truly spectacular! I came down with a medical condition the week before our scheduled rental....and did not expect to make the trip.....the fact that the owners were willing to offer a 100% refund because of the medical emergency reveal the owners character and kindness. I was so glad to be to recover while watching my family enjoy each others company in this truly beautiful and relaxing location.

  We enjoyed one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays at this beachfront home. The house was spacious and extremely well maintained. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well appointed. It was cool and cloudy when we visited, but it didnt matter. We enjoyed relaxing in the home; enjoying sunsets and cooking dinners sourced from local markets.

  This home & the property are absolutely amazing. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us to spread out and enjoy our stay. The home is well stocked from pantry and kitchen to linens. At night the ping pong rivalries really heated up!! The property was very impressive with easy access to the private beach. The water was warm all week and shallow enough for the kids and adults to enjoy all that the Chesapeake Bay has to offer. The town of Cape Charles was a short drive to enjoy shopping, dining and sight-seeing. We would definitely recommend Beauty on the Beach and plan on returning next summer.

  Great property for a family beachfront vacation! Perfect in everyway, except possibly one. We had reserved golf carts but were unable to drive them from this out of town location to town because of traffic and golf cart restrictions. This turned out not to be a problem as Smitty from CC Ryder Rentals allowed us to leave the carts on his lot so we could just drive to town to use them anytime during our one week rental. They could not have been more accommodating.

  First there is an actual beach with enough sand to hang out all day if you like, even at high tide. We enjoyed watching our very young grand children play in the sand and in the gentle surf. The beach is perfect for children just learning how to swim... the slope is very gradual with a three foot depth approximately 50 yards out at low tide. The house and the view from the house are absolutely beautiful...we have rented beautiful shore homes in the past, but this is the first time I can honestly say; photographs do not do justice to the actual clean and spacious rooms.... all with a fantastic view of the private beach.
  
  Our weather was perfect for outdoor breakfasts on the porch and patio. One morning we witnessed an osprey flying directly overhead with a snake in its mouth....seconds later a Bald Eagle appeared and followed the osprey in pursuit. The furniture, grill, and fire pit made for memorable evenings spent around the fireplace while watching the sunsets.
  
  The owner obviously does things right...the house and all of the provided amenities such as the grill, kitchen appliances, outdoor furniture, coffee maker, landscaping, entertainment system....I could go on, are either new or well maintained. Seeing the very special location and how the owner takes care of the property should encourage all future renters to treat this place like their own and keep it living up to its title: "Beauty on the Beach".

  the realtor and house were very accommodating and professional. everything was great The only problem was the speeding ticket my daughter received for going "40 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. She was going with the speed of all other cars the only difference was her car had PA license plate and the others had Virginia plates. This is the second time she was ticketed for speeding in Cape Charles. this time she was 20feet from a sign that stated 55 MPH limit. I firmly believe this treatment by the CC police is nothing more than a money grab. This will severely come into play when deciding whether to come back to Cape Charles or not. I felt extremely upset with this treatment and firmly believe the police are targeting out of state drivers who can't economically come back to fight the ticket.
